The Fairy Tree

Wish I could spend the next few weeks swinging from the branches of a Gingko tree, watching the pretty gold leaves fall.

  2. I love ginkgo trees. For some reason, I've never seen any of them in Scotland.

On the other hand, I do have a friend whose garden is full of tiny fairy figures, crystals, and mirrors; they're fixed in the branches of trees and posed on moss-covered rocks. The effect is incredibly enchanting.

  3. Chris-very cute. :)

Mary-yes, enchanting is the goal! I might trade a few ginkgo trees for a few miles of your cliffs and ocean. I just finished reading The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley, which is set in Scotland. Such a beautiful story, and made me want to rent a fairy cottage and write by the sea!
